Jakarta City

Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia. Jakarta is a special province in Indonesia or the abbreviation DKI (Daerah Keistimewaan Jakarta), which is a province and also regarded as a city. In Indonesia there are three special areas i.e. "Daerah Istimewa Aceh", "DKI", and DIY (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta). In Indonesia there are not many large cities, Jakarta is one of them, besides there are Surabaya, Bandung and Medan in Sumatra Pulan.

Jakarta is the center of the Indonesian economy. So people from the countryside moved to the city to earn a living, this makes Jakarta filled with humans.

Monas

In this city there are many monuments, but there is one monument that characterizes the city of Jakarta, Monas (National Monument). Monas is a building which peak is shaped like a torch fire plated by gold. Monas is also one of the tallest buildings in Indonesia.





The life in this city has no different from major cities around the world, Jakarta filled with busyness. Some of the things that makes me disappointed in Jakarta is the traffic jams and flooding. Jams that occur because the number of private vehicles on the streets, as well as floods that occurred almost throughout the year at several places in Jakarta which is still need to be corrected. But nevertheless I am proud to Jakarta.
